Refactoring: A Way of Life

Refactoring is a practice that various developers engage in to lesser or greater degrees, and the immediate benefits of refactoring are not always obvious.

In what we hope will be a lively forum, we'll discuss such topics as:

  • What, exactly, is refactoring?
  • How often and when should I refactor?
  • Is my version control system getting in the way of effective refactoring?
  • Why should I refactor?

Please come and bring your experience and/or curiosity.

6:30 - 7:00 - Meet, greet & eat.
7:00 - 8:30 - Refactoring forum.
