Abstract: Agile Adoption – The “All In” Approach
Hear about the pro’s and con’s of transitioning an entire organization’s software engineering teams to the Agile Scrum methodology with “all in, all at once” approach. We’ll discuss the organization characteristics that are essential to taking this approach and the critical success factors for making the transition. We’ll also address the pitfalls and challenges that are inherent with this type of rollout and indentify risks and mitigation strategies.
Meeting Location
The location is right off of Ashford Dunwoody in the Ravinia office complex. From I-285 E/W take the Ashford Dunwoody exit, and go north. Turn east onto Ravinia drive just north of the interstate. You will pass the Crown Plaza hotel on the left, take the next left at the Ravinia Club sign. The entrance to Building 3 will be on your right. Go straight past the Building 3 entrance and park in the garage directly ahead.
The building is secured so we will meet in the Building Three lobby and go upstairs as a group at 6:25 sharp - there is a set of couches between the security desk and the garden area just inside the main entrance. Please let me know if you will arrive after 6:25 so we can arrange to have someone meet you and bring you upstairs.
“ good basic presentation on SCRUM. I liked the time for breakout groups and time for networking. A possible improvement would be to do something like OpenSpace/Bird of a Feather. That is ”
“ It was a great presentation last night. I'm still new with the Scrum, and I met someone who's willing to spend time to explain the basic rules of Scrum implementation. ”
