Abstract: On an Agile Team, quality is everyone's job. In this talk we'll focus on the benefits of a whole-team focus on quality and how your team can get there.

Meeting Location

The location is right off of Ashford Dunwoody in the Ravinia office complex. From I-285 E/W take the Ashford Dunwoody exit, and go north. Turn east onto Ravinia drive just north of the interstate. You will pass the Crown Plaza hotel on the left, take the next left at the Ravinia Club sign. The entrance to Building 3 will be on your right. Go straight past the Building 3 entrance and park in the garage directly ahead.

The building is secured so we will meet in the Building Three lobby and go upstairs as a group at 5:45 sharp - there is a set of couches between the security desk and the garden area just inside the main entrance. Please let me know if you will arrive after 5:45 so we can arrange to have someone meet you and bring you upstairs.

The speaker, though probably very skilled in running and coding agile projects, was not able to get past the agile propaganda about better worlds. His anecdote about the woman brought to tears has nothing to do with agile, as I see it. It does point out the poor management and methods of his organization. The concepts and application of usability and regression testing have been around for the 35 years I've been in IT and it's a shame that his management never learned these past best practices. I learned very little about agile. I did take a couple of notes about things to follow-up and the sandwiches were pretty good. ”
